Who we are
The Accessible Handwashing Initiative is a collection of volunteers that is primarily funded by Step 'n Wash LLC. We use this site to help parents and caregivers request accessible handwashing options at the stores they visit.

Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, we and our service providers may collect:

- Pages viewed and actions taken
- UTM parameters and referral source
- Session recordings and heatmaps
We use the following tools to collect some of this data:

- Contact the specific retailers you select on your behalf
- Include your note in a letter or message to a store

- Retailers you select so we can submit your request and include your note

Children's privacy
This site is intended for adults who can submit requests to retailers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here. Typical retention is up to 24 months from your last interaction, unless a longer period is required for legal or operational reasons.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
International visitors
Our services are operated in the United States. If you visit from outside the U.S., you understand that your information may be processed in the U.S., where laws may differ from those in your country.
State and regional rights
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights.
California. You may have rights to know, access, delete, correct, and limit the use of certain information. You also have the right to opt out of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising.
